Allium ampeloprasum var. babingtonii Babington's Leek x 5 Bulbils
Price is for 5 bulbils
A rare, wild native of the coast of south-west England and west Ireland. It's grown as a garden ornamental or an annual vegetable crop. It's unusual in that it produces mildly garlic tasting bulbils in the flowerhead - these can be easily grown into new plants. Plants come into growth from the autumn and become dormant by the summer. Height up to 1.8 metres. Moisture retentive but well-drained, humus rich soil in full sun to light shade.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Plant the bulbils from autumn to early spring at twice the bulbil’s depth, pointy end up. Can be sown direct or in pots. Bulbils come into growth easily.
PLEASE NOTE WE CAN ONLY SHIP THESE BULBILS TO CUSTOMERS WITHIN THE UK. SORRY BUT ANY ORDER MADE OUTSIDE THE UK WILL BE REFUNDED.
