Salvia przewalskii W/O-9222
12 seeds per packet.
The seeds we offer have been harvested from plants grown by us from seed collected by August Wu and Bjørnar Olsen in China. Produces a large, basal rosette of oval, grey-green foliage and upright spikes of large, pinkish-purple, summer flowers with dark purple bracts. Fantastic plant for bees and other insects. Its roots are used in traditional Chinese medicine. Height 90 cm. Well-drained, humus rich soil in full sun to part shade.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Can be sown from autumn to June. Cover seed thinly, press in gently and keep top of compost from drying out. Keep pot cool over winter. Keep warm at 15 to 20°C in spring until germination, then move to somewhere cooler.
Carefully prick out seedlings when they have developed true leaves and are large enough to transplant to individual pots to grow on.
